齋藤氏らは、ロペグインターフェロンα-2b（Ropeg-IFNα）が、急性骨髄性白血病（AML）マウスモデルにおいて白血病幹細胞（LSCs）を標的とすること、allo-HCTにおけるドナーT細胞の終末疲弊（Terminal exhaustion）の阻害およびLSCsへの抗原提示の増強によって移植片対白血病（GVL）効果を強化することを報告し、GVL効果とGVHDを効果的に分離しうるRopeg-IFNαはallo-HCT後の維持療法として有望であるとした。
